上任仅39天，波斯特科格鲁便遭遇“下课”，诺丁汉森林队迅速敲定澳大利亚人的继任者——前埃弗顿队主帅戴奇。波斯特科格鲁因此成为赛季中途遭到解雇的英超主帅中，任期最短的一人。在他之前保持这项尴尬纪录的是2006年的前查尔顿队主帅莱斯·里德（41天）。
这是诺丁汉森林队本赛季第二次换帅。今年9月，他们曾辞掉率队首次跻身欧战赛场的功勋教练努诺。事后证明，这次换帅并非源于竞技因素，而纯粹是管理层和教练员的个人恩怨。诺丁汉森林队也为内讧付出了代价，波斯特科格鲁的上任没能起到“换帅换刀”的效果，反而将俱乐部推入一胜难求的境地。
自今年9月国际比赛日后对阵阿森纳队至今，诺丁汉森林队在“澳波”治下出战的8场比赛仅取得2平6负，目前已跌入降级区。上轮主场大败给切尔西队一役，俱乐部老板马里纳基斯在终场哨响前愤然离场，赛后仅10分钟，球队便官宣了换帅的消息并很快敲定新帅人选——前埃弗顿队主帅戴奇接过了这个“烂摊子”，同时斯通和沃安等诺丁汉森林队旧将也将一并回归加入教练组，助戴奇一臂之力。
目前看来，诺丁汉森林队亟待重整旗鼓，毕竟在俱乐部解雇前任主帅努诺时就曾遭遇了不小的质疑声，眼下队伍的低迷处境，也已证明当初管理层的决策错误，若迟迟无法加以补救，队伍上下的压力将越来越重，很可能会引发连锁反应。也因此，作为诺丁汉森林队本赛季的第三任主帅，戴奇将面临严峻考验。
